      Que. for Nova experts

Does anyone know if the window regulators are the same for 68-72 Novas as 73-74 Novas? I have a 69 and I'm gonna lose the vent window and install the later/longer one piece glass. If I just have to replace the glass then great.

No dice, Darren. 73-74 windows use entirely different regulators. That said, since they fit in a door that is dimantionally identical, it is possible, but the mounts are different. For my conversion, I just nabbed a set of doors from a 1973 Omega. If you are going to grab the doors, be aware that some 1974 X-bodies have an inpact beam that adds a good deal of wieght to the doors.

      Good Luck,

Most people Ive seen get the 73/74 doors as they are a little sturdier to support the full glass.

Well hopefully I can just swap the guts cause my doors are mint and would rather not find other ones.

If you get the 73-74 windows/regulators and the front channel you will be fine. Regulators bolts right into the old reg. position with the exception of one bolt which you do not need. Without that bolt the reg. has no flex to it or you can drill out the hole and add one but its tight. The window channel you need to drill 2 holes to mount it.
Use the inner/outer felts from a 73-74. Longest part is notching the holes for the outer felts...
