problem with delphi 600 ps box

Sucks that this is my first post but I finally bit the bullet and bought a delphi 600 series power steering box for my 69 camaro. I had it all bolted in and set up ready to go. I go to put in the line adapters and the one for the return line is either to big or the hole in the ps box is to small. I know all you guys on here have tons of knowledge cause im always lurkin lol. But I was wondering if I can find those line adapters at a local auto parts store or if the ps box is the problem which I am hoping is not the case. I would really appreciate any help anyone could give me thanks in advance. Jay

Do the newer boxes use metric threads? I've seen conversion fittings out, so I'm thinking yes.

Try swapping the adapters around, If I remember right I had the same problem with mine. I think there was a slight difference between adapters.

This. Depends on where you got the box. Fittings are available, just gotta figure out what you have.

Metric boxes will have these two sizes.

      M16 X 1.5

      M18 X 1.5

      SAE will have:

      5/8 - 18

      11/16-18

Both adapters were the same size. But it seems the one for the return line should have been smaller. I got the box from ricks camaros it uses the factory power steering hoses so its SAE. The adapters it came with do not have threads they just drop in. They are these litte aluminum pieces that look like mushrooms kinda so the flare on the hose will seat properly. I guess I will just have to call and see if I got sent two of the same part.
