I must be stupid or something

...So, I found a new tailgate for my truck on ebay (bashed mine last winter pulling a deer stand) headed home at lunch to pick it up to have it painted to match. Backing into my drive way looking in my left mirror to make sure that I don't hit my house and Whammo! I backed my 08 Silverado into my 22' Cobalt....I forgot I brought it home from storage last night....

and all I could do was laugh at how sick it made me...

Thanks for letting me vent a little...

      Jake

Groan.... I feel your pain. You got to keep the humor since your dignity is gone...

Example of my recent dumb moves, a drive thru near the house has the 2nd pole
near drive thru window about 6" further out than the 1st pole, trying to pull in close
to the drive-thru window, I carelessly creased the driver side fender on my truck,
no paint damage, but the fender looks like I kicked a part of it in. It's right on a seam too,
so hard to push back out without making it worse.... duh on me!
Don't feel too bad Bro, it happens to all...

Ouch. I hope you didn't damage either the truck or boat too much.

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? Would you rather be the architect of what we might create?

haha well the boat is fine...a little 1500 and some extra cut took out the scratches and new grey pinstriping!

My truck on the other hand...well...it's fixable!!

made for a good conversation and great idea to have the guys over to drink beer and laugh at me!

I'll be thinking of you and remembering times like those for a few moments. Now you can get that tailgate painted where you get all the other parts done.

It will be better in the end I was once told, just after you stop feeling like you just got it in the end.

The smell of new paint always makes a car a bit fresher somehow.

Goodluck and look for the bright side.

I hope you're feeling better about the truck. As for your boss...
