      tires... big ones?

Welp, after the big car show in Minnesota in the middle of June, I'm going to be starting on my rear half of my pickup again.

I will be narrowing the rear end accordingly to fit a 15x12 rim with a 4.5 backspacing, 4 link, coilovers, blah blah blah...

Looking at tires, im kinda curious which ones you guys think i will get the most miles out of. not nessesairily looking for hooking potential yet.

      heres the few ive found.

      MT6558 $225 ea.

      MT6642 $282 ea.

      MH 390/45/15's $273 ea.

      Hoosiers

throw out some others if you see anything.

general goal, im wanting about 12" of tread to the ground on a 15 inch rim, and have just short of 17" of side to side wheel well clearance to work with.

I like the Hoosiers for road manners but for details on longevity, most people don't worry about tire life on such a custom application. I would also check ebay for great deals. I just bought a pair of new Mickey Thompson S/R 29X18/20's for $250 from a guy with an unfinished project.
