Multiplaz, plasma kutter and welder, anyone?
Hi guys,
stumbled across a device called Multiplaz while looking for a plasmacutter and welder. The welding process seems like a combination of TIG and Oxy torch technique.
I am starting a pretty big project on my car now and need something to CUT and WELD with. Usually I would be looking at a compressor, MIG welder and plasma cutter (or air driven metal cutter). I've just been using the grinder to cut so far.
I have close to zero welding experience, and to me, this device looks like exactly what I want. I have just done a little MIG welding so far, with mixed results
It's a bit expensive at $2000, but it's very economical in use, not to mention a lot less equipment is needed. Add the healthbenefits and all the things I can do with it (cut concrete etc.) it seems like a perfect choice for a DIY'er.
Watch the youtube videos of it's usage.
I've seen two reviews of it on enthusiast forums and it's gotten great reviews, especially the aluminum cutting/welding seems to be extremely good.

The other review I found is in norwegian so I don't care to post it here.
Any opinions?
