      Procar Sportsman

I'm looking for some front seats for my 78 TA, and came across these seats:

Wanted some opinions from anyone who may have used them. Wondering how they feel, support, etc. I'm on a tight budget, hence the "cheapo" seats. Was considering the Summit brand, but also unsure of how comfortable they are. I considered going the 4th gen TA route, but seems those are pricier than I thought. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

I have the summit brand in my DD. they are okay seats and great seats for the price.

The Procar seats are nice and comfy. I have a few friends with them installed.

I have the Procar Rally brand, they are a good seat for the price. I'm 6'02 and I fit them pretty good, my only complaint is with the seat brackets I sit a little high.

dont do the sportsmans! I bought them for my mustang. They are very wide in the upper so they hit the doors. The lumbar support is excessivly pronounced. It ended up hurting my back and I can't arch back enought to have my upper back rest against the upper back due to the lumbar. They are also firm. I have the Procar Elite's in my other mustang and love them. Less racy but classy. Hope that helps

I have a 78 Camaro, and I tried the summit seats but they sat way too high and I put them as low as I possibly could. I'm only a little over 6 foot so I was surprised at how high I sat. The seats even hit the roof when I pulled them up for access to the rear. Our F-Bodies are really tough to find nice seats for, I'm just using the originals for now, until I can find something. I know that Corbeau has brackets available for our cars if you wanted to take a look at some of their seats. Good luck with your search!

      Sportsmen Seats

I would not recommend them. I bought a complete set with brackets and sliders. They sat way too high. Could not work the sliders while sitting (bottom of seat hit the slider). Just not the quality I wanted in my 67. I returned them.

Thanks for the info guys. Maybe I will just go the 3rd/4th gen route. I'd love to find a set of GTA seats, but that seems to be tough. I do like the Rally series, but wasn't sure they'd look the right part in the TA. I hate decisions...
