      12 Bolt Rear End

Will a 12 bolt from a 68 camaro fit under a 68 chevelle? What will the differences be?

No, the Chevelle needs ears on the top of the center for the upper links. Also you will need lower link brackets for the lower aems. the Camaro is 1" shorter also.

68 to 72 Chevelle 12 bolts are fairly plentyfull. All 70 to 72 Monte Carlos were 12 bolts, so that adds to the availability.

Thank you very much. Another question for you. Strange makes a Dana 60 rear end for the chevelle, and Currie makes a 9" for it as well. Figuring I am going to make somewhere in the neighborhood of 600 RWHP which would you choose? I know I would have to get the brackets for the calipers to adapt, but I am not sure on the flanges for the Dana 60 rearend from strange? Would they be 10/12 or a 9"?

I would stick to the 12 bolt. Both the dana 60 and the ford 9" are larger and are going to give more parasitic loss and likely weigh more than the 12-bolt.

If you did want to upgrade, which with 600RWHP you don't need to, the dana 60 actually doesn't offer any better performance or reliability over a 9" in my opinion and brakes are much more plentiful with a late large ford end than the 60 ends. In addition the 9" is much easier to service and change components than the Dana 60 or the 12-bolt for that matter.
