      best brake pad material

just saw an episode of Dream Car Garage in which they mentioned a product by Gran Sport Brake, a specialized pad to improve performance. I just spent good $$ on new pads and would like to hear opinions on different materials and experience. Thanks

Hawk and Porterfield. Both are proven performers.

      I concur with both recommendations.

I really dig Porterfield's R4-S compound. Its a carbon/kevlar matrix and it just plain works.

Thanks for the input. I checked on prices and they are more than reasonable for these pads.

I noticed a solid pedal response improvement when I went from Performance Friction to Hawk HP plus on my C4 setup. I run the Hawk HPS on my commuter-mobiles.
