Decals dimensions for a 71 Trans Am

I am in the process of building a 71 T/A clone and have decided to replicate the bird decals in a carbon fiber look; however I can't seem to find the dimensions of the bird and stripes.

I need to determine the width and height of the original bird decal as well as the length and width of the stripes. I also seem to recall that the hood stripe tapers towards the front of the hood, so I may need to know the width at each end.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IIRC the roof is ~ 19.25", deck lid is 18.125". Forget the hood & lengths as well. Honestly your best bet is to call Stencils & Stripes & just ask them. DO NOT CALL PHOENIX GRAPHICS IF YOU WANT TO BE EXACT. Their size is off. I guess it just depends how "exact" you want to be with it Too bad I sold my all original 1970 RAIII TA last year or I would just walk out & measure it for you :(

Hood Stripe does taper. As Cdoggy mentioned the Phoenix stickers were not "correct" although they may have changed them since the last set I installed. The hardcore resto guys on Performanceyears.com or Transamcountry.com could give you the correct measurements.

He has already posted the question there and had no luck. If you wanna wait about a month or two, I will be ordering a kit from S & S and would be happy to share the specs once I get to that point.

Thanks Zee. I'll keep trying to get an answer, but I may have to wait. Seems like a waste for me to buy a kit just for the dimensions and then get stuck trying to sell it. Your offer is greatly appreciated.
