      Carb too big?

Is an Edelbrock 1407 too big for a mild Chevy 350? I know the standard answer is yes, but can it be tuned to work? The carb was on the engine when I bought it and it's running super rich. Raw gas is coming out of the tailpipes. I'm not very savvy with carbs and even less savvy with Edelbrock carbs, so any help with this would be awesome.

      Brad,
Yes it can work but most likely you need a rebuild kit as raw gas should not be comming out the tailpipes.

Go on Edelbrocks web site and download the manual to your carb.

Sounds like your floats need to be set as they are really bad at setting them at the factory.

I had one that the floats were opposite like bike pedals!

      Not good for running....

Thanks for the advice, found the rebuild kit on Edlebrock's website and I'm going to try it out when I get back from overseas.
