Drive Shaft for LS1 swap plus other ????

Hey guys I am doing a LS1 swap with 4L60E I need to know from the guys that have already done the swap...
1. Did you have to cut the drive shaft
a. if so how short did you cut it
2. Can I use my stock cross member just move it back and drill a new hole..
3. And any other points or info you guys may have to offer....

Length of drive shaft will vary depending on the mounts used. They can vary as much as +/- one inch or more. You have to install everything and then measure at ride height.
