New Book on First Gen Camaros

      Hey everyone!

I just wanted to thank some of the people here who helped me write and photograph my latest book titled, "How to Restore Your Camaro - 1967-1969". Mary Pozzi, David Pozzi, Steven Rupp, Nick Licata, Dan Kahn, Jimi Day, Cam Douglass, Carl Casanova, True Tourtillott, Kyle and Stacy Tucker, Charley Lillard, Detroit Speed, Hotchkis, Baer, optima batteries, and Vintage Air are members here on Pro-Touring.com and were instrumental in making this book happen during one of the toughest times in my adult life. Without going into too much detail…let’s just say that if my life were a book… I just started writing Chapter8. So, I couldn't have finished this book if it weren't for the support from friends! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! It’s been tough, but the show must go on!

This is a great website and I've had the privilege of meeting some of the greatest friends in my life here. I couldn't have done it without their support on this book and also the support I've received here from the Pro-Touring.com community on my last 3 books. Everyone has been great!

Even though this book is a restoration book and not a “Pro-Touring book”...it does have information that could be useful for the restorer and the Pro-Tourer. The book goes through planning, body, paint, engine, transmission, differentials, brakes, chassis, brakes, electrical, interior, and more. Not everything in the book is on stock details and I know most of our Pro-Touring cars still have a lot of stock elements.
I have a single copy that’s basically the “early edition”. IMHO, the book turned out great and has a lot of promise for a long life. The rest of the books will be in my hands in a couple of more weeks. It’s another milestone in my life. I’ll see what the future will bring in the way of lots of changes and new adventures.

I'm excited to see the book.. and it was an honor to contribute photography to your newest book.

Let me know when it's out so I can buy a copy and help the cause!

Were you also doing a bodywork book or is this that one?

does this book suck as much as your other "building a GM PT car"? if it does then i'll have to order a copy since i have the other one on my dinner table and have read it hundreds of time and built a pedel set up modeled after yours.

p.s. your book doesn't suck but i saw your other thread lol.

This is the book. Just when you thought Penny couldn't get more ink. I'll let everyone know when it's available. Thanks again for the help.

      Hey AJ,
Yes! This book will suck as much as the Pro-Touring GM book. You'll have to read it many times to get all the suckyness out of it. That's cool about your pedals. I still love mine. It works awesome!

not a great shot but its all that was uploaded already from the last car

Sorry John. Your photo was cut by my Editor. I did thank you on page 5 for your effort. Your name appears near Larry Callahan's name.

The V40's look awesome. My Editor chose a picture of Carl Casanova's Camaro with V45's. If you decide to buy a book, we can print out a picture of your car and glue it over Carl's car.

On another note...One of these days I'd love to see your Funny Car in person.

Can't argue with that logic one bit Tony,Carl's car is bitchin...

Keep you eyes peeled for Ingenue to appear in Hot Rod,Freiburger tells me it'll appear in next month's issue but I think he meant to say the Aug issue due on newsstands mid-June...these mag guys work so far in advance.

You mean I could have had my name near Larry Callahan's?

      DENIED!

Thanks John. I too am looking forward to seeing the next HR with the dragster. Very cool.

Put me on the "Buy it Now" list Tony, and congrats.

Actually in the list of about 50 names, it goes ...Nick Licata...John Lipori, Carl Casanova, Jay Rowlands, Larry Callahan...Lars Ulrich... So Carl, that means you're closer to Larry than John is.

Well, since we don't work together anymore...maybe at a Camaro Club meeting or on my website.
