      WTF- new bushing sleeve aggravation

Ok, noob time, I'm having one he'll of a time putting the new bushing sleeves in the control arm!!!!!!! Is it normally extemely difficult to put these suckers in? I'm using a hand press at work, I've got the bigger sleeve in for the most part, but of course not without a battle, but the smaller one almost seems to big, even to be pressed in!!! I have to take a sanity break now

They can be a pain if not prepped right.

You can see that the arm is actually caving in.

I always clean up the sleeve surface with a sanding flapper and then I made a bunch of half moon supports from roll bar tubing to support the control arm sides so they do not collapse when pressing as they did with yours.

Put you arms in a vise and gently tap the outer edge with a hammer. It should bend back straight. A long flat dulled chisel should help get in the tight spots. Also have someone hold the arm with the sleeve flat on a hard surface.

I used a peice of square tubing to support the flimsy arms when pressing out my old bushings it should work for pressing them in as well.
