Spring has sprung, Crusin the Crest

Just was wondering when this gets started. Got to do this last October and thought there was only a few of us, I had a blast. Now that I got some new wheels and tires and some new sway bars I can't wait for the Angeles Crest to be clear again.

I've been watching the CalTrans site, but the Crest is still closed. Likely when we do get to do it, it's 60 miles to Wrightwood before we can get food; I doubt Newcomb's has survived being without customers for this long.

It'll be too bad If Newcomb's is gone, good breakfast there. I'll keep an eye on the CalTrans site as well as this forum. Hope others will chime in too.
