Anyone have desktop dyno?My combo is 406 small block,10.2-1 compression,vortec heads non ported,summit .488 intake .501 exhaust lift hydraulic flat tappet,1.6 roller rockers,air gap intake,750 edelbrock carb,1 5/8 headers,electric fan with 160 thermostat.How fast can i be?I have 12 bolt rear with 3.73 posi,700-r4 with strip kit in 69 camaro bare bones x-44 car.

Am i around 400 horses at crank?What else do i need to get 400 horses at rear wheels?I am breaking engine gently for the first 3000 miles so it will be a while before i unleash it.My rear tires are 275/40 17.

With Desktop dyno sim your results are as follows:

I think you'd need better flowing heads & go for any roller lifter camshaft to reach your 400+ HP target, All the best with your combo.

Would a 100 horse shot of juice put me at the 400 rear wheel horse mark with my heads and cam?I want my car in the low 12sec range on drag radials.

Since we're using Sims here, I ran your combo with that motor's power curve on Dragstrip 2000 lol. Assuming 3300lbs in a 1969 Camaro, 406ci motor (again, with that power curve), 700r4 with a 2500 stall (no idea what yours is, if you reply, I'll correct my calc), 3.73 gears, assuming a 2500rpm launch, 6000rpm redline, and 5800rpm shifts, on a 60% humidity day at 800ft elevation with a 75dgr temp, your car would run 12.26@112mph. =)

Is this accurate? No clue. I've seen it come close, and also seen it be horribly off. Bet it's surprisingly close though. 400hp is usually enough to get into the 11's, when driven right.

Hell, it tells me my Mustang at 2000lbs, with a 520hp 331, 4.11's and a T-56 on 10" drag radials will run low 9's lol at nearly 150mph. Will it? Who knows, but if it does it'll be one hell of a street car! =)

You didn't mention it, but those lift numbers look about like a cam in the 240-244 @ .050 duration hyd. cam. Also no mention of the overlap, but I'm guessing something like a 110 lsa.

You'll need nitrous to get 400 to the wheels in that combo. I think the dyno 2000 numbers look about right. A 406 breathes a lot of air for those heads. Keep the hyd. cam and spend what you would on rollers on better heads, IMO. Track I's or AFR 195's would be sweet on there. The intake is also good, just get the non-Vortec version. But if you already have the Vortec stuff, use it and get the bottle. As-is you MAY be able to squeek out some high 12's (12.80's @ 110ish would be my bet)
