      Mopar guy from Ohio

Well i've been a member for a while, but ive finally decided to show you all my project. Its been 2 1/2 years and a lot of work to get it to this point, but i think it was all worth it. The tri 4 bar is done and front suspension is just about finished. Next i will start mocking up the 5.7 hemi and trans. Ive done all the work myself out of a single car garage. I've built a lot of mopars but nothing this extreme. This forum has helped me out a ton and i thank you all for that.

I cut all the unibody metal out and made my own 2x4 frame then welded it to the body. The rear tri 4 bar i made is something i pieced together using different companys. The front suspension is mustang ii style. I started with heidts control arms and made my own crossmember and upper a-arm mounts because i needed a narrower track width, which is now 54". I am using qa1 coilovers. Ive got a 5.7 hemi and i am installing an xv motorsports carb kit. I was originally going with a t-56 but now im leaning towards a 727 auto. At first this project started out to be just some decent wheels and a paint job, but ounce i realized i couldnt get the stance i wanted with the factory suspension, it went a whole nother direction. Thats why i have the coys wheels on it now. Down the road i will get some better wheels. I will post some more picks later.

I'd love to see some photos of the frame you built too. I'm designing one now for my 69 Dart and will be assembling it later this year. Planning to use Viper suspension on mine though, should be able to make stock widths and pick-ups work. Sounds like you've got a great project going. Looking forward to seeing more of it. Take a look at protouringmopar.com when you get a chance.

Stance looks good, what kind of ground clearance do you have?

Ive got 4.5" at the front of the rocker and 5" at the front crossmember. Nothing will hang below the rocker.

They're coys 18x8 and 20x10. I've got my eye on some billet specialties, so there may be some different wheels on it before its finished.
