      New guy...new wheels

Kevin here from Long Island, NY. I wouldn't say my 68 charger is pro touring...or ever will be. I do want it to handle better though. right now it has rebuilt suspension with urethane bushings, newer Tbars, KYB shocks, 18" rear/17" front tires. Firmfeel stage 2 power steering box.

Future plans (wish list short term) box lower and upper control arms, install US cartool subframe connectors (already bought them) new rear leafs, better shocks. long term I'd like an alterKation for the front with rack.

Just got the wheels. 18x9.5 and 17x8 coys polished C57's. front 4.5" bs, rear 5.5"bs. put them on this week. I'm very happy with the wheels but I knew going in that I'd have to lower the car, probably 1.5"-2" rear and maybe an inch in the front. also need to put spacers in the rear, inside of tire is 2" from the inner lip of the wheel well, so maybe a hubcentric 1.5" spacer or adapter at that point. Anyway, here it is:

couldn't resist... had to lower it. used 2" block to lower rear and cranked down the tbars a bit in front.

After I took these, I did lower it a bit more in the front, about another 1/2 turn on the adjusters. took 2 full turns to get it to the point you see in the pics
