Thanks gents for all the kudos. Truly amazing watching the recent string of pics.

On my end, I need to start working on some of the subcomponents. I have a T-5 that needs a rebuild, a 302 that needs to go to the machine shop and odds and ends that i need to locate and clean up. Also, need to figure out a rear end.

Brian attaching the roof. Now he has to repair some rust in the corners and where the drip rail was.

Brian has the roof welded and did away with the drip rails.

The welds were ground down and than he added a patch over the factory lead joint

Nice bunch of body work. Any reason you didn't start with a new body? Hailing from Canada I have seen my share of rusty cars but the amount of work you are having to do would cost 1.5-2x the cost of a new body. Just curious.

      Jason,

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't believe 65-6 fastback shells are reproduced... And knowing Chris quite well, I think he prefers the idea of rescuing an original one from near death over a reproduction piece. Also, I just looked, Dyanacorn only makes convertibles in the 65-66 style

That is kind of what I was wondering Nick but I don't keep up on early Mustangs to know if that year/model was available. . My uncle did a 66 Fastback that was severely rotted and his build cost was in the 6 figures. It was all shop built but the body shop bill on those kinds of cars is crazy due to the insane amount of hours.

I think Dynacorn is going to come out with one but that sure doesn't help you know. Good luck with the build, I will be following along.
