      Panel Clamps??

Saw in a magazine a while back, panel clamps used to align sheet metal when butt welding together. They were inserted along the join to be welded and clamped the metal to hold in alignment thus reducing the amount of filler required after cleaning the weld up. Anybody used these or any idea on where to get them?

You can get the kind that Deron linked to from Harbor Freight. Like 8 for 5 bucks.

      clamps

Clecos are good for holding overlapping panels but i don't think that there are any for butt welds.

I could not find the butt weld panel clamps at the local Harbor Freight or at thier website so ymmv on that option.

The ebay auction looks promising though.

Brian is right HF does have them.... or at least they did have them. I have the Harbor Freight clamps as well as the over priced Eastwood clamps and I gotta tell ya....the Harbor Freight clamps are MUCH better. The little lock washers on the Eastwood clamps SUCK!
My friend just picked up 2 packs Saturday at HF, He said they were still very cheap .....something like 16 clamps for $8

Buy the ones listed in Hemmings they are far superior just buy a few extra blocks they are always getting lost. Not the cheapest but do a great job. Cleckos are not for butt joints.
