70s vette 12'' rotor offset
I was wondering what the offset of the mid 70's vette rotor was? I want the 11.75 rotors to put on my nova. I want the extra thickness of the rotors and I dont want to do the b body spindle swap as the tie rod mounts are different and may interfere with my wheels as I am using 15" wheels. I plan on doing a brake bracket similar to the C5 swap. for calipers I am not sure what to use but I think I will use truck calipers as they are wider.

I can't help you right now but I will measure mine as soon as I can. Also, search over at Team Chevelle for a CBB thread in the suspension forum. This was discussed at great lenghts about 2001 or so. Look for BC as the main poster in the thread.R.J.

I had purchased one from Autozone a while back to take some measurements from. The offset from the wheel mounting surface of the rotor to the outer brake surface of the rotor was 1-13/16". I realize you can get an offset measurement from several reference points, but I took the rotor back to the store after I was done with it, so that is the only offset measurement I have.

Does anybody know what the offset of a c5 rotor is?? I want to do a c5 caliper with the 11.75 rotor. I like this combo better than the c4 swap as the rotor is thicker and and will fit a 15 inch wheel better.
