      New Project

I don't have a cool name, but I do have a cool new project. I am planning on going the protouring route from the ground up mainly to be a weekend cruiser with little or no track time. I picked up a 68-72 Chevelle convertible frame to help with rigidity. I also picked up a Dart Aluminum block that I am planning on building a mild 540bbc with EFI. Hopefully in the next few weeks I am going to take a trip to SC&C and pick up an entire suspension package from them. I figure with all the power I want to be able to control it. I am sure I will be asking lots of questions.

Good foundation on the engine. What kind of project is this going to be? Make? Model? Year?

Its going to be a chevelle, but I haven't decided on a year and I keep kicking around the idea of a convert. Proably a 70 or a 72. I have a 72 now, but its not worth saving. Its a good drive, but needs too much work. Once I get the chassis done I am going to start looking for a body.
