      Heater core or not?

i'm thinking of removing the heater core on my 69 camaro because I most likely will not be driving it in the winter and just bought a set of BMW heated seats. i'm doing a big block swap and will be running the big block 4 core rad.

My question is, will the car run cooler without the heater core?

a friend of mine said his temps dropped about 10-15 degrees with a small block in his 70 nova when he took out his heater core.

Anyone experience cooler operating temps when they removed thier heater core?

      thanks all,

      Robert

All depends on wether you will need the defrost option if thats the case.

Oh ya, forgot about defrost......can't imagine i'll need that too often if it's mainly a summer car...although it is a SEATTLE summer car so defrost might be needed every now and then :-)

      thanks for the reply!
