      C5/C6 caliper question

Might be a stupid question but...If the C5 and C6 calipers are the same dimensions are the abutment brackets the same or are they set up for different rotors?

The C5 (reg & Z06) and the standard C6 abutments are the same. (At least interchaneable, because I've done it) The C6 Z51 uses the same caliper but a different abutment due to the larger diameter rotor.

      I can't comment on the C6 Z06 stuff.

      Help, Tobin!

Call Tobin from Kore3. He knows everything that you would ever want to know about corvette brakes. I just got my brakes from him today and he's really patient with any of your questions.

Just to reitterate what Al already said, the C5 and C6 PABs are interchangeable for the base level applications using the 325mm rotors. The C6 Z51 PABs are indeed different to accommodate the larger rotors. The C6 Z06 calipers are lug/axial-mount monoblock calipers like the ZR1 Brembos, so those two applications don't use PAB's since they're not floating calipers.

PAB's aren't that expensive, so I'd suggest going new if you can just to avoid any headaches.

Thanks for the props Ken. Enjoy your new brakes ;)
