      78 Frankenstein Magnum

I finally got my project car delivered last week. A 1978 Dodge Magnum GT with a 400 BB and a 727. Other than some major rust in the quarters, the underside is mostly solid and will only need to replace one frame support.

Future plans call for a 451 Stroker and hopefully a 5 Speed. So tips will be helpful. Here are a few pictures of what I have.

Finally some love for the Magnums. Don't know why more people haven't picked up on these.

Thanks, If you check out Mopar styles there is a large following for these late B bodies. I just want to do a Pro tourer with mine there are several that are restoring their Magnums and Cordoba's I have one of each.

I'm thinking about getting the Unisteer R&P for it as a start. But I am looking around more before making that decision.

Cool, I wouldn't mind picking up a T-top Magnum or Charger Daytona.

Thanks, I have been researching a lot so far I have been able to find what I wanted for the front suspension. I have a 9.25 Rear any suggestions on how to improve it?

I believe it is the same rear end used in the trucks thru 00. there are lots of parts available, along with gear sets. Try Randy's Ring and Pinion. I know they sell them

      78 xe

Dude, my folks bought a 78 XE new when I was a kid... and my dad offered it to me as my first car but I bought my Firebird instead. When the 'bird was down for yet another engine change from playing games on back country roads I'd drive the Magnum with the 360 V-8 and the 4-barrel! Coming from a Mopar family I've always wondered if they made any suspension upgrades for these cars and always thought it would be a very cool car to modify and put more power into... subscribed!

On the GT yes but not big changes. I have factory front and rear stabilizer bars but, plan on adding bigger torsion bars and a few other tricks I have been reading about.

I guess I need to read up on tires I have 2 sizes for it both low profile one set is P245/50Z/R15 and P225/50Z/R15 which I might use temporarily.

Well got a little more done today. The floor boards are in really good shape except for the rear passenger foot wells, I will have to replace them along with the rockers panels here is some new pictures.

So far this is a great father and son project, he is having more fun than I am.

Check out Phoenix Craigslist if anyone else want a Magnum T-Top. There are 2 of these cars listed for sale.
