      In-tank corrugated pressure hoses.

I'm looking for the in-tank corrugated pressure hoses like those used by the OE's in late model cars/trucks. The trick is I need the ends of the hose to be 3/8" I.D. 5/16" is no problem.

      Any ideas?

LSXfan, please let me know what you find. Ultimately I'm looking for a source.

The 30R10 Gates hose is silly expensive. The OE's use a plastic corrugated tube that costs $3 for a 15" piece aftermarket, $0.10 OE. Check here about 1/8 of the way down. http://www.autoperformanceengineerin...html/kits.html

I bought it and a few other things awhile back from a company in Texas, I think. It was the only the place that would sell in small quantities. Hopefully I can find the invoice or receipt with some info on it.

Thats the place I bought mine, but I have not run across 3\8" corrugated. APE also sells the 30r10 at a decent price. ( I do believe they will not sell the hose by itself, you have to buy a pump ) I would give the guy a call he should know if they make 3\8". The first time I bought the 30r10 was from a local autoparts store $16 for 6".

That's the wall I'm running in to. 5/16" is no problem, but for what I'm trying to adapt the current fittings are 3/8, and the currently attached hoses are corrugated 3/8" OE. I might be able to do it with a teflon tube for less cost but it seems silly that these things are not available in the aftermarket.

Did you ever find the hose ? I've been to the end of the Internet and back with no luck.

Are you talking about the sorta white, semi-translucent corrugated tubing?

I'm about 99% certain that Fuel Safe and ATL sell it.

      Yeah, the bendy-straw thingies.

I solved the problem by making an expansion tool. It's just a tapered 3/8" pin. Mildly heat the end of the tube with a heat gun, and heat the end of the pin with the same. Slide the tube end up until properly expanded, then cool. Not elegant, but it works.
