      Looking for an Orange

Looking for a bright "newer" orange

Right now my car is Vitamin-C orange, but is going to be repainted sometime this summer.. I want to go with a newer orange, with some pearl or metallic in it..

I love some pictures of Go Mango orange from Dodge, but some other pictures it looks too dark, and i have not found one in person to look at..

Wondering about the Summit Racing brand Bright Orange Metallic, but have not seen any photos of that color..

If you've got a good orange, please post a pic and what color it is along with what color it was sprayed over if a transparent, or something..

      Thanks

(Of course Beryllium would be perfect, but cant get it)

      (Go Mango)

What about just taking the orange on your now and just adding a buttload of pearl to it? Just my ideas. Good luck.

House of Kolor Sunset Pearl or Tangelo Pearl with the latter being my favourite orange.

Never thought of that.. adding a little bit of fine metallic, and some pearl to Vitamin-C that it is now... i wonder how that would look

The HHR's come in a nice looking orange, not that appealing on them but it is a nice color.

That lambo orange is pretty darn close to the HOK Tangelo. That's the color I'm going with for the camaro.
As for adding pearl check out this site www.paintwithpearl.com
Was thinking of adding some pearl to my clear coat along with the tangelo.

I think it looks fine the way it is now. But if it needs a repaint nothing wrong with a little change in your life.

I think adapting a 71 Charger full ABS front spoiler would be very cool.

Your 73/74 valence is flatter more like the 71 Chargers. It would be neat to mock up and see if it would work. The 71/72's Road Runner valences are too rounded make a 71 Changer soiler work.

And the 71 Road Runner chin spoilers are pretty useless.

I would do a test panel before doing that on a car. The HOK Tangelo is a PBC (Pearl Base Coat).. It has a bunch of pearl and not sure more Pearl would buy you much.. Roger

Exactly what i was going to do. I've already painted a scrap with the Tangelo and some other HOK colors for my bumble bee stripe. I'll scuff half and shoot some more clear with the pearl and see how it looks. Who knows, maybe I can just shoot an orange and use the pearl to save some money on the paint. The only reason I'm thinking of doing this is because the wife would like a bit more yellow pearl in the Tangelo!! Have to keep them happy too. However, she likes the look of the mailbox... go figure.

Glad to see that no one recommended the Dodge GoManGo color, that group pics of the Daytona's looks amped. A GoManGo in person looks more like a Root Beer Brown color than anything related to orange.

Why isn't the Saleen Beryllium a possibility? It would seem that you should be able to get it from BASF.

*edit - after a quick search it seems Saleen is quite stingy with its paint codes.
