I for one am jealous. A winning combo for sure.
As long as you have fun right? Exactly my point. Why sweat it? As long as you enjoy it, who cares what anybody else says or where it came from. Does it run?
Luckily, I already had a bitch'n motor for another project just sitting there (we don't need to discuss the manufacturer). My 12 bolt is not 10 bolt BOP. I already gave that to a buddy for his numbers car. My 4 speed muncie shifter. On the wall as art next to the Hurst T-handle. Replaced by a Tremec TKO600. My seats are 2000 Firebird though. Does that give me extra credit?
Sorry to display my bitterness to the Purists since I too walked the path of the righteous one. As you can see my scars from the wet noodle run deep.
I gave pro-streeters of yore grief and sneers. "I have sinned oh Lord!"
Now I discovered Pro-Touring and committed to it. I just don't have the patience to hear others dis someone's baby. No matter what your style is, that man loves this car.

Try this one. I am also a Pontiac Zone member. Can't even see what could possibly be the problem. I haven't been there in a long time. I like this forum and PSP's.
02-16-2010 #23I'm on Pontiac Zone also, weird they rejected you, but I also don't go on there much.
And as much as I love Pontiac engines I get sick of the "purists". A small block in a Pontiac is dumb, but you can't beat an LS engine if you want a light and cheap fuel injected engine. I hope to someday build an all aluminum EFI Pontiac though...maybe someday lol.Traven

02-17-2010 #24I agree. I do like to see a Pontiac engine in a Pontiac but, You can't beat the LS engines. I would never put a different engine in a SD TA or a RA IV GTO but, a 75 400 auto TA. Why not.One can make 600 hp and still pull down 25 mpg. The only way I can get 25 mpg out of my 600 Pontiac, after 10 miles I would have to shut it off and push it 15 miles. My next engine will be a Schwartz worked LS 3 and a 6 speed.
