      Year One smooth bumpers?

I am planning on making my '69 Camaro bumpers smooth by removing the exposed bolts. I saw that Year One has them already done which will save me some work, especially since I will be painting them body color. Anyone used them? Is the method of welding the studs to the bumper good? Thanks for any help.

I haven't used them, but I did contact YO about the rear bumper. They said they are paint grade only since some filler is used to smooth out where the bolts are welded to the bumper. They seem pretty cheap at 120 a piece.

      thanx Ron

Yes, the price is good. The hassle it would take to de-chrome and work my bumpers sure makes their offering quite attracive. I'll see if anyone has any more info on these.

i have the front and rears on my car. they fit pretty good. had them painted to match, and they looked great. only problem i had was i should have fit them first and tightened them down before painting. now my rear bumper has a slight dimple where the studs are from tightening it down. oh well, i still like how it looks. its also good that they are EPD coated, which means minimal work to get ready to paint.
