Wow, I didn't do too bad

I build a bunch of junk and one of my last cars was a 05 Corvette with a 404 and 9 psi. It was never intended to be a track car, just kind of fun street car and with 20x13s in the rear on a Nitto tire the thing was just grossly overpowered to try and race it. I never got it to the track but I assumed it would run low 10s and I been around a while.

I was looking at some time slips on another site and I saw my car! Now I told this kid who bought it it was not set up to drag, he needed to rework shock valving and get a slick under there but he managed to run a 10.9 at 140mph in 90 degree weather. That would have been my highest trap, I really wish I had time to track her just a few times before I sold it. At 140 I bet I could have got real close to a 9 with some tire. Although not too impressive compared to some of you guys, I was kind of like a proud papa to see her finally run. ET stunk but 140 for a street car makes me smile.
