66 Mustang Fastback changes (added pics)

I decided to remove the webers and go with twin turbos. I am repainting the car black and powder coating all trim flat black. Shaving the drip rails and installing the Shelby quarter windows to replace the vents. I was thinking about powder coating the spokes on the Boyd wheels. What do you think? I have included some before and progress pics.

I wish twin turbos were in my future! Looks great. The blacked out look is one of my favorites, I like all black wheels.

I still have the 1.5 drop leaf springs in the rear. (tubs next year) I actually am still in the process of completing the rad support so I don't have any pictures with the fenders off. I will be welding on the fan and overflow supports this weekend. I will post some pictures when I strip the front end and prep the chassis for paint. The manifolds are polished stainless for a later model 5.0 Mustang. I had to cut off the turbo flange and reweld them on so the turbos faced straight forward and at the proper angle.

Twin turbo's is a pretty sweet way to go.
Black spokes, with the rest of the wheel chrome/polished could look good. all black I usually don't care for.

Sorry, sold the Webers months ago on EBAY. If my turbo piping shows up today I will have some additional chassis photos to post this weekend.

Well ...... I can't fault you for the twin turbo decision ..... as for any other changes ...... if you flat powdering the trim .... do the wheels that way too. It'll tie all of the trim togehter.

      Nice progress.

personally i wouldn't shave the drip rails i have always like the fastback with the chrome rails. The wheels will look smaller if the centers are black but if the cars goes black then maybe it would work..? All black or all poilished IMO.. Damn nice mustang though... you should consider mini tubbing to get the rear wheels tucked a little more...?

Going blow through carb w/a 650 Holley. Car turned out too Red for me, was supposed to be closer to a burnt brown/orange color. Didn't quite match the color sample from Dupont.

Front sheet metal removed, intake and wastegate tubing added. Need to install fuel system and ignition components then I can remove the motor and start body and chassis finishing.
