The compression fittings worked fine for the return, but couldn't hold the pressure on the supply line. I took them all out and replaced with braided line. I still have the hardline in place for the return.

I looked long and hard at these cheap fittings from summit racing and jegs.but I wanted something better. I suspected they wouldnt hold up to the pressures of fuel injection. I see from your post I was right. I was planning to use 3/8 O.D. stainless tubing with .028 wall for my application. after alot of looking around I finally came across Swagelok®. the difference between these and what the speed-shops offer is night and day! these are the finest and in my opinion the best tube to AN adapters available.they are used in many high-tech fields such as the Aerospace and the Chemical Industry.
they are made of 316 stainless extremely high quality and totally reusable. the part number is SS-600-6-6AN for the -6AN to 3/8 tube adapter your looking for. you can find these on the swagelok website, they offer 1/2 inch as well. they are not terribly expensive either.

I decided to go with 3/8 stainless fuel lines,I bought them from Inline Tube. they are $ 99.00 each. the fuel lines are beautiful and are of exact O.E. configuration. I bought 2 lines, 1 for supply and 1 for return. to install your adapters on the fuel lines ,just follow the directions on the Swagelok website for proper installation. the fuel lines from Inline Tube are .028, same as thickness as O.E.

Nice tip! I didn't know Swagelok supported AN fittings. I'll add it to my "toolbox". How does one go about ordering small quantities? Can you order from the Swagelok website?

      thanks!

I would say yes, it's annealed and .028 wall. I would however ask you if this was for a custom vehicle or application. If not I'd strongly suggest pre-bent tubing. It's available from a few companies out there. I choose to go with Inline tube since their located in my state and I wanted to pick up the lines personally. they are exact O.E. configuration, stainless and .028 wall. I choose to pick them up so I could avoid the "shipping bend" they have to bend the lines in order to ship them.
this isn't a huge issue really since the tubing is annealed and bends back pretty easily. Im just very particular and live close enough that it was easy to go and pick them up.

I got a front disc conversion kit from these guys prior to this and the lines match up to everything exactly. I was very satisfied with the fit and finish .

We use these where I work. We use them for grease lube systems that routinely run 2500 psi. They do not leak!

Is it okay to plum the stock sending line integrated with a Walbro 255 pump? I have the corvette fuel pressure regulator and would like to plumb this and the fuel pump into the stock line so cut down on cost. Will it hold up to the pressures of this pump? Obviously I'd have to run new hose from the regulator back to the DSE tank (tank is not an internal pump unit).

The stock steel line will hold the pressure. You just have to get good fittings.

the -8 stainless fittings are like $12-14 each. not bad considering their aerospace quality and damn near bullet proof.
      BE different....ACT normal.

No one is completely useless..They can always be used as a bad example
