Econo 3-Link...will it work?
Remove leaf springs, put Traction Master Traction bars in axle leaf perches remounted inbound and mounted forward inside the frame rails with forward frame to frame crossbar. Use coil perches above relocated leaf perches and mount to another added crossmember above the axle. 3rd link would come from the top of the center chunk and mount to the forward added crossmember. And a cross bar mounted to one frame side and oppsite side on the axle. Here is the traction bar setup similar to the one i am thinking of using:

Think it would be strong enough?

Well, yes and no. In a nutshell, yes it is that simple to build a 3 link.
What you're proposing however will have some problems. Getting the measurements right is key to this application. The simplicity of construction is deceiving.
Do a search for 3-links here and pay attention to the geometry aspect to get an idea of what you'll need to do to complete the project.
After that, ask some more questions.
