      Automatic for a 572 Hemi????

      Want an automatic w/overdrive for my 572 aluminum Hemi '73 Challenger that will produce 750-800+hp and about 700+lb.torque. ANY SUGGESTIONS????? Want to be able to cruise on the highways too. Thanks, Scott

      I would recommend a phone call to Bowler and see what is available to go behind your HEMI. Good guys to work with!

      Depending on what you want to do with the vehicle I would first recommend the 4L85E 1000 ft lbs transmission package, second would be the 727 with Gear Vendor overdrive. If you fill out one of our tech sheets online and send it over I can get a quote put together.

      Older thread, but how about an AOD-E/4R70 with an adaptor bellhousing? They can be built STRONG.

      Scott, I have a Turbo 400 custom built with lower first and second gears with a 2.56 posi. This set up is hands down the best I ever experienced. Does is get any better then the Turbo 400...

      What rear end gears do you have now?
