      Thanks 65_stang and bishir

      Here's an update:

First off, THANK YOU to the member that mentioned the upper coilover mounts on the R&C kit were prone to bend.
We beefed them up. basically plated the outside and welded off the perimeter.

Mounted up the brakes for fun:

I found that the weakpont on mine was the tab that the coil over bracket mounted to. If you can find room to gusset the top that should also help.

Man, that Cleveland looks awesome in there, but onto your headers... Nice job with all the slicing to get them to fit. Since you had to cut them up, would it have helped anything to make them Tri-Y's? Looks like you'll need to pull the steering shaft once they're all welded up. How is the ground clearance? From the pic it looks fine, but you know how pics can be...

Thanks for the interest and Inquires guys.
The ground clearance isn't bad, the pan is lower, thinking I might wanna build a skid plate for it?? The hedders are about paralell with the Sub frames.

It's been sitting for about 2 months, crazy busy on my end with work and family stuff.

got the DS hedder pieced together and clears everything fine. Yes we'll have to pull the steering shaft to remove it, no biggie.

      here's a few update pics.

My dad went crazy and finished it by himself while I was out of town. It needs some more fill welding and clean up, then off to HTP coatings.

      And we got these pieces!

I have always loved this project! Good stuff, keep plugging away at it. Every little bit counts.

One question. When you leveled up the IRS, what did you measure? I saw an angle gauge on the "bottom" of the pumpkin. Was that your reference point?

Thanks man. That gauge was to set the pinion angle. did you mess with the pinion when you put the IRS in your build?

I don't even have a pinion! lol... I'm going to hit the pick a part this spring and see if I can hunt up a Mark VIII pumpkin. That will give me a better reference point.

I'm tyring to figure out what part of the IRS cradle or control arms are "level" so I know where to put the brackets. So far, I'm thinking the pinion mount brackets are probably my best bet. They look to be perpendicular to the pinion flange.

Not to hijack this thread, but you should look up a build on here called "Twin Torino" by SVTforme, he put a Cobra IRS under a Torino and could probably point you in the right direction.

After being gone for about a month, I got to work on the car for about 1 hour!!
spent all day working on my wifes car...

There were some pits on the hedder welds, so we gas welded all the joints, test fit, and started grinding it down.

Going to re plumb this thing:

I like the open bay look
