      FAST EZefi question

I want to run this system on my Corvair.

They make a nifty 4150 ready manifold for my type engine, and this EFI setup is a dream come true for litterally hundreds of us Corvair enthusiasts.

But there is an issue. It says in the literature, that it uses a "coolant temperature sensor"

Corvairs dont *have* coolant. And our head temps get up to around 400 to 500 degrees on some runs. That's where the boss is for the temperature sending units we use.

I remember hearing this could be worked around. But i dont remember where, or how.

Run the CTS in the oil pan or at least touch it to it with a bracket.

The coolant temp sensor is the input for the "choke " function of EFI. Without it, cold start is tough. We have done this in aircooled Porsches without a problem.

You can ask the engineers that designed it here:

      No problem!

I am currently installing the EZ-EFI on the sbc 406 in my '72 vette, and one of the moderators (bluzman2004) at the forum I posted the link to is also a member at Corvetteforum.com, which is where I met him. He is one of the engineers that developed the EZ-EFI system.

I don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but do the injectors spray above or below the throttle blades on the Ez-EFI?

The oil temp trick is a good alternative for sure.

The injectors spray just below the throttle blades.
