Need some opinions
I am looking to build a 1969 firebird convertible.
In the past I have done a few other cars but nothing in the pro touring nature.
I have a very rare RA firebird and a turbocharged 1969 hardtop thats more of a street strip car and run in the 9's.
The problem with that car is its mini tubeed and worthless with my family on a weekend at home.
So what I have is a 1969 firebird thats been done to driver quality and thats using the term "quality" loosely.LOL
I bought the car basically painted and the rest needs to be redone. It boasted that it had new floor pans but they were done badly, has subframe connectors, landrum fiberglass leaf springs out back, new vert top, new windshield, paint and body is ok not great.
engine is a stock 350 with aftermarket carb and intake, stock TH350 and stock 1 legger rear.
It will get a 455 with twin or single turbo(S) eventually because I sell turbos wastegates and BOV's so it just makes sense.LOL I also moderate the forced induction forums at pontiaczone.com since 2005.
this is gonna be a low budget build over time. My boat and race car take up most availble funds but I wanted something to enjoy with the family and to daily drive.
I have looked into full framing it since I will need to dig into the floor lans anyway at some point, I have 17 inch torque thrust on it already so will stay with those for now.
anyone used autoweld frame rails?
what do you guys think about brakes?
rear diff?
Trans Th400
GM480le?
Th200R4?
Th700R4?
6 speed?
4 speed with gear venders?
Lots of possibilities.
The only thing I know for sure is it will stay all poncho power even though I am a big fan of LSX's
thanks for any help guys

This was only a 9.97 but it was OK for the first day out with the fuel injection on pump gas and very conservative tune.
