      New guy from New Mexico

Hello everyone! This site is AWESOME! I have been building what I call Pro Road cars since the mid 80's. I have enjoyed racing through the mountain and desert roads of New Mexico and still do. I have been known to be a little overkill in everything I build. I am working on that and doing better. Well enough couch time. Here are a couple pics of my ride. Starting life as a 6 cylinder, big bumpered, torquoise 77 camaro the transformation began. Full hand bent (JD squared manual mandrel bender - Wow say that thee thimes falth) cage laid inside front to rear. Overkill, hopes of silver state classic , still overkill? Nascar brakes (Wilwood GT) and front suspension (SCP spindles, laughlin bearing centerlink and idler) were installed. Welded chrysler screw-in ball joint bungs to the tube control arms and bolted it all on. If you try this, the center link will only fit right - up side down. Bumpsteer and ackerman all good. The Stock Car Products spindles are great. They use oval slugs with different hole positions where the tie rods connect for adjustment. Couple other goodies in this old school mountain racer. Again, Pro-Touring Rocks

Welcome to pro-touring. I love your car its just a sinister street fighter. If possible could you get a build thread going or post up some more pictures?
