What are the cam specifications? EFI or carb? Manifold? Weight of the car? Gear ratios? What do you want to do with the car?

Sounds like a decent match up to me. Unless you are going to be going from 2000 in 5th gear to WOT w/o downshifting, it shouldnt be a problem.
