auto tech / wavetrac rear end?

      http://www.autotechdriveline.com/a_index.shtml

anyone use this? know anything about it? I am looking for a road racing rear end so I can swap gears and rears for those events and go back to my detroit locker for hard care drag racing.

Somone recommended I look at this one. It uses a ariable worm drive.

Might be good, but I haven't used one. The Truetrac is pretty good for road racing. There are also Torsen units that work well.

Everything I've read about it has been good. It hasn't been on the market for very long though, so there aren't too many reports, other than "hasn't broken yet". It addresses the few weak spots in the old torsen design and uses top quality materials. One of the other benefits is that it's got a lifetime warranty, even when used for racing applications.

I cant deal with people that wont communicate. beware.....

I'm a Moser dealer and I asked them about it. They are the only distributer for them in the US. They claim that they have used them with 1100 HP and they have tried to break them with their test equipment and haven't been able to do it. They tell me that they are smooth and strong. They are also expensive at about $900+.

too bad moser and the wavetrac people cant communicate with me properly.
I would not buy it now because I don't want to deal with people that wont hold a conversation or reply to inquiries.

I am not going to beg people to do business with them.

The true trac is half that price and I am sure it will work fine for my needs.

talked to him tonight. really nice guy. I am just worried that for my use ( I will overheat it and wear out the preload) which will put it the same as a true trac.

I dont want to have to put a differential cooler on at this point for my needs. I think this would be fine if you were putting it on a strictly racing car and were ok with pulling it to rebuild often but I am not looking for it. From what I hear this is a really nice unit but is not for extended road racing or doing a lot of burnouts which I do.

I've got someone testing one and he is suppose to get back to me when they are finished with it. I'll pass on the information when I get it. Someone send me a PM in a few weeks to remind me.
