      Somewhat New Guy from FL

      Hello folks

Ive been lurking for sometime and have posted a couple of times figured I would introduce myself.

My name is Jeff I live in the Tampa Bay area and am addicted to cars and bikes.

Im 31 years old and have had my camaro since I was 15, she's my first car. I bought it with 35,000 miles on the odometer from a little old lady who had stitched sheets together to make a car cover for it in 1992. Drove it home on original belts hoses and tires. Next morning I realized I was lucky to get it home when I grabbed the upper radiator hose, it and shattered and crumbled in my hand.

The car was a daily driver all through HS and college with me barely able to keep gas in it and the nickle and diming of keeping an oldie on the road at bay. (working at western auto was a great help in HS)

The car has now been sitting for about 6 years with bad uca and lca bushing a fresh warmed over 350 with world heads and a 700r4 freshly rebuilt.

I was stepped away from this car because of the agony and time I spent on it for so many years, on friday night most people at my age then, were going on dates and hanging out. I was fixing whatever had broke that week on my car to keep it running, we've all been there I know.

I got interested in car audio about the same time the great state of KS gave me permission to drive and once through college and getting a "real job" started getting into imports, I dumped a ton of money into a Mazda Protege5 and competed nationally in IASCA and MECA in Sound Quality competitions. Now I compete in my Jeep Commander on the Arc Audio factory team with Dynamat and Kinetic batteries as other sponsers.

I got this great idea one day, I want to get my Camaro done, I love car audio; hmm lets build the camaro mild pro-touring and put a stealth competition audio system in it. So I started paying off credit cards and vehicles so I could get this thing rolling. Here we are today ording lca bushing and uca's and re-doing and restoring harneses getting it going...Project SoundsGood!

      Sorry about the long post!

      BTW Hi!!

Frank I called a couple weeks ago asking about the g-mod and some uca questions and about your rear suspension. Just in process of saving money for those goodies!

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? Would you rather be the architect of what we might create?

Welcome! Looks and sounds like a great project. Just a warning though... be careful how good you do the ICE install, 'cause if you go too far towards pro-touring, you might find you wanna pull it out to get your lap times down.:

BTW, I'm just a bit south of you in Sarasota and I drive up to Riverview all the time to visit my parents, so perhaps we'll run into each other at some point at an event or something.

      Oh, and...

I assume you mean the Dupont Registry deal in St. Pete, right? Maybe I'll see you there (in my XR4TI).
