      Car Hunting in Europe

My wife and I just spent two months travelling through Europe, and had a blast. My favorite past time was "Little Car Hunting."

Your going to have to deal with my mug in most of the shots (Like a hunter poses with his kill, I posed with the car).
I thought that the car folks on this site would enjoy the (often laughable) autos from across the pond.

      First, the odd ones-

Germany apparently doesn't have the same vehicle regulations as we do:

      A short-bus special in Italy

      A Bugatti dealership in Berlin

And while smart-cars are being sold in the US now, you'll never find one modified like this:

      A little Closer:

And the GRAND PRIZE was found in Geneva while we were walking to the train station:

      I'm missing a few...if I find them I'll add them in later.

      enjoy

This one would kinda be cool if they let us use em as a commuter with the same restrictions as a Moped..

Europe does have a much different approach to cars; it's a necessity because of the small roads, lack of parking, and the generally short distances needed to be traveled.
when I was in Poland, what struck me was all the small Polish-made Fiats running around, and how they don't park in the street; they park on the sidewalks!
some of those small cars are coming over; the VW Polo is supposed to come over, and the Mazda2 is coming over in 2010. and now w/ Fiat owning Chrysler, I expect you'll see lots of little cars in the next few years.

      I'll never tell

Here is my favorite Holland pic...it was outside of the train station in Den Haag:

And yes, I loved the sites. My wife and I have over 400 pictures from the trip. Prauge was awesome, but skiing in Gstaad won me over. Roman Polanski has it made.

I'd hate to be drunk and need to find my bike.

Let's see what section of the lot is my bike located in????

Found a few of the missing ones...a really cool one in Barcelona: It is designed for a single wheel chair occupant. The back drops down and the wheel chair rolls in and locks in place. All of the driving controls are on the wheel...

And this is why little cars are so necessary--this was in Brussels:
