Why aren't 3-links available?

Anyone can readily replace their springs, install a 4-link, 4-bar, Triangulated 4-bar, Truck Arm, or even an IRS... but there is no kit for a 3-link suspension which everyone here seems to agree is the best way to go for a PT car.
Could someone enlighten me as to why the 3-link is somehow more difficult, dangerous or whatever the reason you can't buy one?
I have never even seen pics of a 3-link installed in a PT car, I would love to if someone could post some.

The most difficult aspect is how to package it into the chassis without cutting up the car too much.

use a tq arm.like what a 4th gen f-body use's,check bmr fabraction they have the best tq arms.i run the on my 94 z plus i just finished a 69 z with a tq arm set up.if i can find a scanner i will download pics of them.they will have to be weld in and take a rear end with a tq arm mount.

Best guess I can make is that neither the drag strip nor the street rod segments of the automotive hobby have shown any real interest in it yet, and the traditional builders/buyers have chosen to remain conservative in this respect rather than push the envelope. And that's arguably where the majority of car-construction publicity has traditionally come from. That the other solutions listed have been good enough for their strip & cruise purposes has been, well, good enough.

Like anything new that's different enough from what it replaces, it takes a little to get going. Sort of like lifting yourself up by your bootstraps (as the old saying goes). Not that it's a brand-new approach to stick axle location, but with the exceptions of Trans-Am cars, Factory Five Cobra replicas, and the new Mustang it's been 45 or 50 years since it was last viewed with much of any interest.

Kits are starting to show up. There are at least two works-in-various-stages-of-progress for GM products, and there's at least one out already for Mustangs (make that at least two, if you count the possibility of custom-adapting the FF pieces to your Fox/SN95). I wouldn't be at all surprised if the new Mustang drives the development of one or two more merely by the existence of a pumpkin with the ear already in place, and I can't be the only person who thinks you might be able to adapt parts of one other aftermarket rear suspension kit to 3-link operation.
