another newb with another 69 camaro

      I'm Tom from knoxville, tn.

I've been a drag racing guy all of my life and all of my cars have ended up being drag oriented. heck, I even turned a NICE 2000 corvette into an 8 second twin turbo , pro street car. when I think back, the corvette was alot more fun as a daily driveable car that handled and stopped well also.

fast forward to now. I recently bought a very nice 69 camaro. the problem is that I really enjoy driving this car and don't want it to become a purpose built drag car like the others. since I am used to late model lsx stuff and modern comforts, this 69 is pretty barbaric to me. especially considering that I own a 98 trans am vert also.

so, I've made the decision to make this car do many things well. it needs to be formidable in all areas, yet retain the classic style that makes the 69 camaro the most gorgeous car gm ever produced. I'm very well versed in forced induction lsx power and the car already has a 12 bolt, so the drivetrain will be a lsx/t56/12 bolt combo.

I'm hear hoping to learn a little about suspension and braking...and to buy some parts since I am a cheapskate and do all of my own work and fabrication. I take pride in building my own car.

      thanks,
      Tom

It's not another 69, it's your 69. Make it special.
