      70 roadster protouring vette

alright i just got a 70 roadster vette and i am not a big vette guy. so i thought i would make a low big wheeled vette. i dont think i have seen anything like that but i am sure there out there. i got a good big block to put in and i want sidepipe. so if any of yous got ideas on wheels and tire sizes or any part of the build give me some tips. i will post pics thanks

Awesome car. I love those years. IMHO the largest I would go is 18's. 20's look a little out of place. I think 18's would be your best bet for looks, performance and tire selection. Hard to make any recomendations without knowing budget but there is alot of vendors on this sight that have great wheels. Depending on the look you want I would say you can't go wrong with either vintage wheel works, forgeline, rushforth or new gen. Bonspeed Huningtons would look awesome also.

We have done a lot of custom sets for Vette guys. Give me a call at the shop and we can go over a few wheel designs and help get you going in the right direction.

^ 69MyWays car (killer), Groovyjays car (C3-R) and the infamous "merlin".

Lots of info over on corvetteforum when it comes to wheel/suspension/engine upgrades.

I personally think the wheels on the red roadster are too big....18" is big enough.

We've done a lot of those vette's. If there's a style you like on our website, either 2 piece or 3 piece, just let me know and I can get you pricing.

Only thing is I really dont like the stretched look of the 2 bottom ones rear tires, say 1/2" to and inch less rim width and they might look better to me.
Ever since I put a set of 155/80 /13 in 13x7 or 8 roadster wheels for a bug stance car I have hated the look of tires being stretched to the max to fit rims.
