How about a 396 LSX? I sold my Z and doubled the budget for this car.

Do you want the car to handle? If so, small block...preferably an aluminum LS engine. If not, I'd do a big block.
Not to say a big block car can't handle well, but small block cars are so much better balanced.Matt Jones
