Second new event announcement this week.

I found out about this chance for us to attend a great event today. Looks like a great chance to let your car stretch it's legs on a real road course.
It is two weekends before the Flatlands event so you could make a real trip and do both, which is what I plan to do. The real issue here is we have to have a true commitment of cars to attend before January or the event will not happen. Chime in if you can attend.

Below is the email I got from Jeff.

A new Pro-Touring.com road course event at Road America.

      Dates: April 17-18th 2010

Where: Road America Elkhart Lake Wisconisn

This Midwest F Body event will now for the first time feature a specific Pro-Touring group brought to you by Schwartz Performance and Pro-Touring.com.
Road America, built in 1958 is the site of numerous pro races and is 4.2 miles in length.

Located in the scenic, rolling hills, Kettle Moraine area north of Milwaukee. This is a great opportunity to get a chance to run on an awesome road course.
All American cars made prior to 1981 and drivers with previous track experience will be allowed in the specific Pro Touring group.

Any car is welcome to participate in other groups based on experience level.

Any Pro-touring car driver without track experience will be allowed in the D group which has instructors to help you get acclimated to the track. D group drivers may move up to higher group as their skills progress throughout the weekend.
Snell 2000 helmets required, convertibles need a roll bar, you must pass MFBA tech inspection.
The cost for entry prior to Jan 15th is $255 per day or $425 for the weekend.
The entire event may be cancelled and full refunds given if enough entries are not received by Jan 15th.
Jan 15th to March 31st the entry cost is $265 per day and $475 for the weekend.
April 1st to the event date $285 per day and $495 weekend.
Vendors are allowed at no additional charge provided they are selling products that may be used by the participants of the event.

Fuel is available and sold at the track.

Link to entry forms and all the details: http://roadamerica.fbody.us
Please mention Pro-Touring with your payment.

      Mail payments to:

Anyone that had fun at Gingerman Raceway at the Motor State event, you need to check out this track.

Great news! Glad to hear you got things ironed out Jeff. Anything I can do to help? I would be glad to do some ride alongs as either driver or passenger to get members acclimated. I have a fair number of laps under my belt at RA, and am happy to help any way I can.

As i recall it's $15-20 bucks for spectators.
I forgot to mention passengers are allowed to ride along, provided they have the proper helmet and normal seat belts.

This is going to be fun. I had a great time two years ago beating up on C6s and Vipers, but this will be cooler.

Jeff S., is there any interest from any of the other builders like we were talking about?

Jeff I take it this track is hard on brakes? I'm going to put this on my bucket list. I will be there provided nothing stops me.

This event is well run and a load of fun. It's about as much fun as you can have for $500, for two days, without getting naked or having the risk of getting arrested. Here are some links to PHR's coverage of past events.

I did the even back in 2004 and it was a blast!!!
