      Need suggestions on wheel choice

      Hello all,

I am taking suggestion on what style of wheel I should purchase for my 86 M/C SS. I have a set of Simmons wheels I bought in 1995 that are 16'', when 16'' wheels were the rage. I want to get either 17'' or 18''. I have just learned that Simmons Wheels has closed it's doors due to the owner retiring, so I would like the help of the Pro-Touring community. I'm open to all suggestions/opinions.

      Thanks

I really like the thick 5 spoke design on monte's.... Your current wheels look great. With that said, I think the Fikse Profil 5 or 5S would look killer. I think the Rushforth Superspokes with a brushed center would look great too.

Fikse is closed down cheapthrillz. ;)

Hotrodss, do you wish to keep the same overall appearance as your Simmons wheels? If so, how about the iForged "Astra"?

Here is a new 5-spoke that just came out by iForged:

Maybe a DPE Forged "R05" wheel?

I'd be glad to help out, just contact me with your sizing and finish requirements for a quote!

Thank you for the suggestions so far. Well, as far as my budget I would like to keep the cost reasonable and I know Fiske wheels are/were referred to as " god awful expensive" wheels. Though, I was willing to pay $3,000.00 for the 18'' Simmons wheels, so I'd say that's my limit on wheels. (the price for individuality) I guess the DPE's would fall somewhere close too. (they do look nice) Yes Nine ball I would like to stay with the similar design as Simmons, but I'll look at other styles also.

Everyone of the wheels compaines I listed has rims in 5 spoke design.

Forget HRE, iForged, Forgeline. The rest are in your budget.

I know... I was thinking he could find a used set though since they come up every now and again.

All of the IForged 5 spoke designs look great and would look amazing on that monte

I was looking at a set of the DPE's (which look like great wheels) for my car, but I have changed my mind and will be calling Frank for some ZX3r's or Rated X's when the time comes....

A set of 19" Concept Is all the way around will look and fit perfect on there.

Some Rated-Xes would kill on there too and completely transform the car.

      10 spokes don't suck on Monte's either.

Thank you all for the suggestions, keep them coming. These are all great looking wheels, I will take the time this weekend and check out all of the wheel websites recommended by everyone & located through out PT.com.

Nine Ball--I went to the Fiske wheels website and everything is up and running, I will try to contact them, it's worth a try.

Their website never went down. Do a search on Fikse on this forum and over at Lateral-G.net to see the long posts of recent events.
