      Electric Fans troubleshooting

Having issues with my Spal fans running.

Power comes from a junction block that gets power direct from the battery. 40 Amp fuse is in line.
Switch 12volts comes from the AAW Classic Wire Harness
Fan Trigger on comes from the Accel DFI harness.

The fans kick on based on the setting that I have in the Calmap. But when I turn the car off the fans turn off. If I ground the Trigger wire the fans turn back on. Doesnt make sense to me. Any ideas?

When you turn the car off the ECU turns off, right?

Agree but that makes no sense to me. I have to Call Accel Monday and ask what the deal is

Sounds normal to me....the ECM trigger is a ground-so when the ECM sees the coolant sensor in the range you set, it grounds the fan output lead which triggers the fans to come on. Spal likes to turn fans off/on through the ground circuit-not the power supply side.
