      splice./tap connection options

what is the best way to splice or tap into an existing wire and have good factory like ascetics.

I know there are 'T' connectors and I could remove some insulation and solider the incoming wore, but that doesn't look good and it makes it troublesome to remove the harness.

      options please.

Cut the wire in question and install a Weatherpack connector. On the feed side you will need to loop a wire to the second pin on the connector.

If you want it to look factory for a muscle car, use a Delphi 56 series connector or you can strip the insulation back and use an open barrel crimp. The factory would have solder it too.

I honestly either use simple twist around the main wire with the tap wire thne solder and tape like factory, if you want it to be like stock then there are copper crimps that are u shaped, I crimp them like metripack/weatherpack terminals and then solder the connection. Tape it up cleanly and tada electrically perfect. Another way I do this is strip off about 4 inches of wire, then take one strand and wrap it around the two wires laid together then solder it.
If I can find batteries for my camera Ill post up some pics of different tap circuits I do.
Friction tape sometimes works better in closer quarters too.
