I like those but paying 245 for one is a little steep for me. Does anyone else have any console pics of ones they made?

You could have a local stereo shop build one for you. If it can be done mostly out of MDF it wont be to expensive. And ford Cupholders out of the older F150's if what ive used in the past

Any estimate what a console for a stereo shop would cost?

It all depends on what all you want in it really. One with cup holders/gauges with a simple design could be easy but all shops are different. Sometimes you find a tech that likes projects like that and sometimes ppl see it as a hastle and it gets pricey. The best place for a normal person to buy MDF is usually Home depot, or a stereo shop will sell you how ever much you need if they arent running low

All steel w/hardboard sides covered in vinyl.
Rolled the curve over the front tire when we were building the car. Then cut out the 1" side pieces to the shape of the curve and tack welded them to the top. The side panels are hardboard they slip right under for a clean look.
